TCM Announces Blake Edwards Tribute

Turner Classic Movies has announced that it will devote its evening lineup on Monday, December 27th, to honoring the late writer-director-producer Blake Edwards.

Mr. Edwards passed away Wednesday. His wife, Julie Andrews, was at his side.

TCM is preempting a planned evening of science fiction films in order to showcase five of Edwards' best-known movies.

The titles shown will be BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S (1961), DAYS OF WINE AND ROSES (1962), THE PINK PANTHER (1964), VICTOR/VICTORIA (1982), and OPERATION PETTICOAT (1959).

By coincidence, BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S was previously scheduled to play on December 30th.

This is so sad. It was very nice that he had his wife Julie Andrews and his children by his side. And TCM is always so good about tributes.

OH NO! I was really looking forward to the SciFi movies. Today I watched "Experiment in Terror" - very good.
