TCM Star of the Month: William Powell
Beloved actor William Powell is the May Star of the Month on Turner Classic Movies.
Over 40 of Powell's films will be shown on Wednesday evenings this month, with the titles continuing overnight and into Thursday.
Needless to say, there are many good films in this lineup! Personal favorites include STAR OF MIDNIGHT (1935), MY MAN GODFREY (1936), THE EX-MRS. BRADFORD (1936), LIBELED LADY (1936), and THE LAST OF MRS. CHEYNEY (1937), which are all showing on May 17th.
It's rather amazing that the films I just listed were released in a two-year span, and he was in several other films during that time period as well.

How wonderful he's being honoured in this way, Laura. Glad to see the wonderful Manhattan Melodrama is being aired. He's one of my favourite actors and I've always been in awe of his ability to make everything he did seem completely effortless. Maddy
