New at Classic Movie Hub: Frontier Gambler (1956)

I'm happy to say my newest Western Roundup column has just been posted at Classic Movie Hub!

This month I've written about FRONTIER GAMBLER (1956), a minor yet interesting Western which borrows heavily from the classic film LAURA (1944).

Please click on this link for Classic Movie Hub to read it, and thanks, as always, for everyone's support of my Western Roundup columns!

One of those pictures that can rightly be called little, and whatever monies they had to spend was apparently and wisely used for the cast. Collen Gray and I suppose Taylor lead the paydays, but everyone was just fine. You probably know this, but here goes: Kenty Taylor was related in some way to either Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, creators of Superman. He gave part of his name to that character, I will leave up in the air whose name was used for the other part.

Kent was the brother in law of Joanne Siegel. Make a little sense. As for Clark, Jerry was a fan.

Thanks for that very interesting 'insider' background information, Barry

Barrylane and Jerry, love these comments. I agree, good cast with actors I like -- and Kent Taylor's connection to Clark Kent is fantastic. I think I'd heard that in the past (perhaps from you!) but it had slipped my mind and I loved hearing it again. Thanks!

Best wishes,
Laura
