Happy News for the New Year

Wonderful news late tonight with the word that 12 trapped miners in West Virginia have been found alive. Ringing church bells announced the happy answer to the prayers of so many across the country.

When the news was announced, the crowd began singing "How Great Thou Art."

One of the relatives interviewed on Fox News said something profound (this is a very close paraphrase, if not the exact wording): "I just want to say that God is good, and even if this had turned out differently, God would still be good. It's harder to say God is good if things don't turn out the way you want."

On a sad note, sincere condolences to the family of the miner who lost his life in this week's explosion.
