Positive Change From White House Press Office

Brit Hume reported on today's SPECIAL REPORT that the White House issued three emails today correcting erroneous news stories. Is this a sign of things to come under Tony Snow's leadership?

The White House could probably use someone full-time whose job is to monitor the MSM (mainstream media) and immediately put out corrections and accurate stories when necessary, as happened today.

The AP reports Snow and Scott McClellan are sharing duties during the transition. Tony takes the podium on a permanent basis beginning on Monday, May 15th.

Thursday Update: The Washington Examiner says Snow "is determined to aggressively counter what the administration considers unfair assertions in both news and editorials about Bush. At the same time, he is eager to make the notoriously secretive administration more accessible to the press."

A MSM monitor is exactly what the WH needs. I'm a bit shocked no one does that already.

Here's hoping the MSM gets away with less misinformation in the future.
