New on DVD: MGM Film Noir

Today sees the release of a handful of interesting films in the MGM film noir series: THE WOMAN IN THE WINDOW (subject link), KANSAS CITY CONFIDENTIAL, and THE STRANGER.

Glenn Erickson reviews the first two films at DVD Savant here and here. Unfortunately these are bare-bones releases without extras, but it sounds like the DVD prints are great. I haven't seen any of these films and look forward to checking them out in future.

Film noir fans don't have much longer to wait until the amazing Film Noir Collection Vol. 4 is released on July 31st. The set includes 10, count 'em, 10 movies, and each and every movie has a commentary and other extras.
