New on DVD: Myrna Loy and William Powell Collection

Tuesday, August 7th, sees the release of a wonderful new DVD set, The Myrna Loy and William Powell Collection.

The 5 films included in this set are MANHATTAN MELODRAMA, EVELYN PRENTICE, LOVE CRAZY, I LOVE YOU AGAIN, and DOUBLE WEDDING.

Extras include a radio broadcast of LOVE CRAZY, trailers, and vintage shorts and cartoons.

Loy and Powell's THIN MAN movies were released in a 6-DVD set two summers ago, becoming Warners' all-time best-selling classic movie set. Powell and Loy's four-star classic LIBELED LADY plus THE GREAT ZIEGFELD are also on DVD, so if I'm counting correctly, that means that at this point the only Powell-Loy film not on DVD is THE SENATOR WAS INDISCREET, in which Loy had a very short but very amusing cameo.

It just doesn't get any better for a film fan than watching this great team. We're looking forward to adding this set to our DVD collection in the near future.
