New Book: For Love of Politics

Sally Bedell Smith is a superb biographer, so I was very interested to learn this morning on FOX NEWS SUNDAY that she has a forthcoming book on the Clintons. FOR LOVE OF POLITICS: BILL AND HILLARY CLINTON: THE WHITE HOUSE YEARS will be released on October 23.

I've read three of Smith's previous books, which were all excellent: REFLECTED GLORY: THE LIFE OF PAMELA CHURCHILL HARRIMAN, DIANA IN SEARCH OF HERSELF, and GRACE AND POWER: THE PRIVATE WORLD OF THE KENNEDY WHITE HOUSE.

I'll be watching for reviews on this one. It will be interesting to see what new insights Smith has about this power-hungry couple whose marriage at this juncture appears to be one of political convenience.
