New Book: Under the Tree

UNDER THE TREE: THE TOYS AND TREATS THAT MADE CHRISTMAS SPECIAL, 1930-1970, is a new book by Susan Waggoner.

Waggoner previously wrote IT'S A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS: THE BEST OF THE HOLIDAYS 1940-1965, which was a visual feast of "retro" graphic art, including pictures from catalogues, magazine ads, and movie posters.

It looks like UNDER THE TREE presents more of the same. As a fan of both Christmas and mid-20th Century graphic art, this is a book I definitely want to read.
