UCLA Screens "Unburied Treasures"

For those of you in driving distance of Los Angeles, UCLA is showing some relatively obscure titles in May.

One of their most interesting double bills is ONE TOUCH OF VENUS, with Ava Gardner and Robert Walker, and HIGH, WIDE, AND HANDSOME with Irene Dunne and Randolph Scott.

I saw HIGH, WIDE, AND HANDSOME in a revival theater when I was in my teens, and it made quite an impression on me. Jerome Kern's "The Folks Who Live on the Hill" debuted in this movie.

Another double bill is comprised of Joel McCrea and Veronica Lake in RAMROD, along with BULLFIGHTER AND THE LADY, reviewed here last month.

UCLA's movie calendar is here.
