Robert Prosky of Hill Street Blues Dies

Speaking of HILL STREET BLUES...

Robert Prosky, who played Sergeant Jablonski on HILL STREET BLUES, has passed away at the age of 77.

Prosky helped fill the huge void left on HILL STREET when Emmy-winning actor Michael Conrad, who famously said "Let's be careful out there" near the start of each episode, died of cancer a couple years into the show's run.

Thursday night at 10:00 p.m. was once appointment television, thanks to Prosky and his creative colleagues. Now it's just the time slot for a daily variety show. Times sure do change.

I'll always remember him from Far And Away. What a wonderful career he had. Will be sadly missed.
