Netflix Will Offer Free Streaming of Wizard of Oz

As mentioned here recently, the 70th anniversary of THE WIZARD OF OZ will be celebrated with the movie playing in approximately 450 theaters on September 23rd.

For viewers unable to see the film on the big screen, Netflix has announced it will stream OZ online at no charge for 24 hours, beginning at 9:00 a.m. EST on October 3rd.

A 70th Anniversary 2-Disc Edition will be released on DVD on September 29, 2009.

A beautiful 3-Disc Collector's Edition was previously released on DVD in 2005.
