A friend of mine was called into HR at work when Ted Kennedy died. He said, "Finally, the end of the Kennedy dynasty." Coworkers reported him to HR for being insensitive to their grief. Before that he got in trouble for saying he "Could care less about that creepy guy." When Michael Jackson died. So he promised to be on his good behavior today.
Those comments seem very tame compared to what a co-worker of mine said a few years ago, on the day after Jerry Falwell died. He said, "I hope he burns in hell".
