Today at Disneyland: Mardi Gras!

It was an absolutely beautiful day here in Orange County, perfect for spending a long lunch break at Disneyland.

The pretty sight greeting us as we entered at Town Square:

Disneyland has introduced Family Fun Weekends this year, which have included Chinese New Year and Fiesta celebrations.

This is the final weekend of the Mardi Gras celebration in New Orleans Square, which features a modified version of Tiana's Showboat Jubilee.

Here they come:

Princess Tiana has a lovely voice; she sings my favorite song from THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG (2009), "Almost There."

The Sailing Ship Columbia and the Mark Twain make colorful backdrops for the show:

Mardi Gras beads strewn everywhere give New Orleans Square an extra-festive look:

The Hub this afternoon:

Simply a gorgeous day in every way!

As a postscript, I highly recommend the MouseWait app for iPhone users. Visitors in the park constantly update the attraction wait times, as well as the FastPass return times; the system uses GPS to make sure that users submitting updates are actually in the park! It also contains a wealth of other information including park calendars, links to the menus at All Ears Net, and more.

I set up a MouseWait account while we were on the tram ride from the parking lot, and we were amused to realize the people sitting next to us were also looking at MouseWait on their phone.

I also learned how to send a TwitPic today!

Wow - you're getting to be a real "techno" :))
I'm heading to the Park today as I want to see the Mardi Gras stuff and this was the only weekend to do it.
