Co-Founder of Harvey's Broiler Dies at 97

Minnie Ortner, who co-founded the Harvey's Broiler drive-in in Downey, has died at age 97.

Harvey's Broiler -- later known as Johnie's Broiler -- was famed as one of the finest examples of '50s space-age "Googie" architecture.

The building was illegally demolished last January. A criminal case is pending regarding the demolition.
