Today at Disneyland: Memorial Day Weekend
Most years we spend the Friday morning heading into Memorial Day Weekend at Disneyland, and this year was no exception.
It was an especially gorgeous day, sunny with temps in the low 70s.
We started out with breakfast at Carnation Cafe. We had never eaten there before last November but have made up for lost time; I think this might have been our fourth breakfast there! It was wonderful as always.
I think the shot below helps capture what a pretty day it was on Main Street U.S.A.
A sign near Carnation Cafe:
The flowers near the Hub at the center of the park were especially beautiful today!
The castle has just been spruced up and repainted. The paint job is the subject of some controversy, and indeed I find the bright blue roof a bit heavy-handed for my taste, but on the whole it looks nice.
The Disney family crest over the castle entrance really shows off nicely thanks to the rehab:

A couple of pretty views seen from the Disneyland Railroad today:
One week from today this entrance to Galaxy's Edge will open to the public for the very first time, and I will be there as it opens at 8:00 a.m.! Stay tuned for a photo report after my visit.
City Hall at Town Square as we left the park today:
After a few hours in Disneyland we headed to Disney California Adventure, coming soon in another photo post! (Update: Here is the post!)

So pretty! Love the flower pics. What a gorgeous day!
Ohhhhhhhh, I cannot wait to hear about Galaxy's Edge! It's my only semi-regret right now, that I won't be able to go see it for awhile. Looking forward to all the details and all the pics you can share!
Hi Deb, wonderful to hear from you! I'll be sure to share as much as possible after our visit. Hope you can visit before too long!
Best wishes,
Laura
