Return to Disneyland: First Signs of Christmas

It's been such a joy to be back at Disneyland over the past month! First we went during Halloween Time and then spent a day celebrating a birthday.

Last weekend we visited again, and the first Christmas decorations had made an appearance, with more to come soon, including the tree at Town Square. The holiday season at the resort officially kicks off on Friday, November 12, and runs through January 9, 2022.

The Disneyland Railroad station is seen below:

Sleeping Beauty Castle now has its winter overlay:

New Orleans Square:

The festive entrance to Rancho del Zocalo...

...where, incidentally, we enjoyed a wonderful dinner!

The brand-new Plaza Point Holiday Shoppe had opened near the Hub, on Main Street U.S.A.:

The new store replaces the camera shop. Photos may now be picked up at a new location situated on the Esplanade between Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.

The decorating is quite lovely. Over the course of the year the store will also sell souvenirs for holidays such as Chinese New Year and Halloween.

Coming soon to Disney California Adventure, the annual Festival of Holidays! I especially love the Viva Navidad, which features great food, a wonderful "street party," and a Three Kings Day celebration in January.

I'll be making up for Disneyland being closed last Christmas with half a dozen visits to the two parks by Christmas, including an evening at the new Merriest Nites Christmas party.
