Disneyland: Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway, Part 2
On Friday I shared photos from Disneyland's brand-new ride, Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway. Here are a few more photos!
I absolutely love the building's gorgeous Streamline Moderne Art Deco look.
Everywhere you turn there are beautiful lines and color designs.
The theater "lobby" is one of the last rooms guests pass through before entering the ride itself.
There are many fun "Easter eggs" to discover in the concession stand area; for instance, the numbers on the cash registers pay tribute to the November 18, 1928 release date of the first Mickey Mouse cartoon, STEAMBOAT WILLIE (1928).
Disneyland celebrates Mickey's birthday each year on November 18th, often giving away birthday buttons on that date.
The treats look quite appealing!
Scrooge McDuck chocolate coins:
Begorra Orchards is a nod to Patrick Begorra, the "Little Man of Disneyland" who has a tiny house in a tree in Adventureland.
Finally time to enter a theater to see Mickey and Minnie in PERFECT PICNIC!
The ride itself is a classic Disneyland "dark ride" which uses the new trackless technology utilized for the Rise of the Resistance ride in Galaxy's Edge.
Getting off the train at ride's end, guests see this photo of Walt Disney:
When we left the building it was dark out, with a glowing full moon!
I have a couple more Disneyland photo posts coming soon, including a look at this week's ticketed "Princess Nite" party, which was great fun.
