New Western RoundUp Column at Classic Movie Hub

My new Western RoundUp column is now available at Classic Movie Hub!

This month I return to the topic of my "Western Film Book Library," with a list of new reading suggestions for Westerns fans.

It's been wonderful receiving feedback from readers and hearing that my Classic Movie Hub book posts have inspired their own purchases. I hope the books recommended in this latest column will also be of interest.

Please click over to Classic Movie Hub to read the Western Roundup. As always, thanks very much for reading!

Hi Laura,
As mentioned previously I'm not on line nowadays as much as I used to be,so I've had lots of catching up to do. The Mann and McCrea books that you review sound most interesting.
I'm so glad that you gave positive reviews to I WOULDN'T BE IN YOUR SHOES and STEP BY STEP
my copies are in the post and I cannot wait. I must say it's wonderful that Warner Archive are still releasing these B Movie gems. I think their restorations are superb I can highly recommend CHAIN LIGHTNING which looks beautiful and I enjoyed the film very much indeed.I would have thought Warner Archive would have released HIGH SIERRA instead of Criterion,I'm hoping that COLORADO TERRITORY is in high definition as well. I know that the long term future of Warner Archive is uncertain but I hope that it is still able to continue in some shape or form.

Hi John, It's always great to hear from you!!

Thank you so much for your feedback on all of the above. I was especially glad to hear you enjoyed CHAIN LIGHTNING so well as I have that one in my review stack! Let's hope the Warner Archive releases more of these B films, I was very pleasantly surprised to see those titles amongst the Blu-ray issues of much better-known films.

I agree, was surprised to see that HIGH SIERRA will be out from Criterion, accompanied by COLORADO TERRITORY. What a great release!

Hope you'll be online again soon!

Best wishes,
Laura
