14th Blog Anniversary!
It's hard to believe, but this blog started 14 years ago today!
Blogging continues to be one of the most rewarding things in my life. It's led to countless special experiences and getting to know many wonderful people. I don't ever take any of it for granted.
It's also a particular thrill when I learn that someone has enjoyed a film or book after reading about it here. I love helping others find "good stuff" to enjoy.
My most sincere thanks to all my readers for your continuing friendship and support.

Stefano, the truth is that our oldest daughter was waiting for Harry Potter Book 6 on July 16th, 2005, and decided it would be the perfect time to help her mom set up a blog while she was watching out the window for the FedEx truck. :) I'm so grateful for her help getting me started blogging! You probably won't be surprised that my second post here on that very first day was about Disneyland's 50th birthday, which took place the next day on July 17th, 2005.
Caftan Woman, you put a tear in my eye -- you are a special lady, and that means a lot coming from you.

Congratulations! Your blog is a wonderful resource to learn about classic Hollywood films, as well as great perspective on newer films. I think I found you through an internet search for information on a particular film noir (can’t remember the exact film). I have returned regularly ever since. Thanks for covering the noir film festivals and films noir so well.
