Coliseum Commission Pledges to Work on Deal

The Coliseum Commission, after months of ignoring USC's proposed master lease agreement, has pledged to "expedite" work on a new deal which would prevent USC from leaving the Coliseum for the Rose Bowl.

We'll see if the Commission comes through. Frankly, the Commission members seem equally concerned with continuing to whine about USC putting their contact info on a website, which the Commission charges was poor judgment on the part of the university.

No one condones the Commissioners receiving threats, if such took place, but the Commissioners are not monarchs and should be accountable to and willing to hear the views of the taxpayers of the city, county, and state. If the Commissioners can't stand the heat, they shouldn't be in the proverbial kitchen.
