Today at Disneyland: It's (a Wet) Christmas!
Southern California is being deluged with rain this week! With rain in the forecast for the next few days, we decided to go ahead and visit Disneyland today for our annual "all day" Christmas visit...although this time we didn't stay all day.
We had a lovely breakfast at River Belle Terrace, went on It's a Small World Holiday and Indiana Jones, got soaked on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and did a little shopping.
By mid-afternoon the wind had picked up and was blowing the rain straight at us!
We decided to call it a day for this trip and headed for our favorite restaurant, El Cholo, for a cozy meal. It was a great tradeoff with Disneyland, and a wonderful end to a fun day.

I imagine it got pretty miserable out there on a day like this. But still, it's Disneyland at Christmas and I haven't been able to go for a couple of years. Kinda miss it.
It only got really bad once puddles started building up in some areas and our shoes got wet, and then the wind picked up. The cold and wet weather was just a little bit festive earlier in the day, since this is as close as we get to winter "Christmas" weather here in CA. But a few hours was more than enough! LOL.
Hope you can visit in December again soon.

Ooh, fun! Sounds like a really good day to go, actually, until it gets too wet! It's been pouring out here in San Bernardino all day. Everything's flooded right now.

We're pretty flooded here too. Just ran a quick errand and some of the intersections are a mess!

I had planned to go today as this is the first day of my Christmas break. But a light rain/drizzle is one thing - heavy rain and wind is another. Plus driving there and home would not have been fun either. I would have probably spent my day in the Golden Horseshoe ;) Maybe I'll try again next Monday.
I can't understand going to Disneyland *any* day *ever*. Just not my bag. But it's raining like crazy up North too. My yard & driveway is so muddy, my car slid all over. But the sky was clear enough for a great view of the eclipse. I've missed lots of sky events due to overcast.
It rains in California? I'm suddenly not so miserable here in London :)
Here is the California weather for the next 7 days: Depending on your elevation, it is either raining or snowing.
Time to look at lots of old movies.

It's snowing in the local mountains...probably at pretty low elevations. :) Just a lot of rain here!
