New Western RoundUp Column at Classic Movie Hub
My new Western RoundUp column is now available at Classic Movie Hub!
This month I take a look at a favorite Joel McCrea Western, CATTLE DRIVE (1951).
CATTLE DRIVE costars Dean Stockwell, who also starred with McCrea in STARS IN MY CROWN (1950). Stockwell's recent passing inspired me to return to CATTLE DRIVE in his honor.
Please click over to Classic Movie Hub to read it. Thanks to everyone for your ongoing support of my Classic Movie Hub columns!

All westernistas should mosey on over and see Laura's very nice piece on this good western.
Jerry, I agree with you 100%.
Cattle Drive is a sweet picture, and frankly, I am always glad to see Leon Ames and Bob Steele in anything. I do not believe it is better than Captains Courageous, but I like it much, much more.
Thank you all very much for your supportive comments. I'm so glad to know you've enjoyed the review and the movie itself.
Barrylane, you say it well, I'm sure all of us here are always happy to see Ames and Steele turn up in a movie. I'll confess here that I've never seen all of CAPTAINS COURAGEOUS, just scenes here and there, and yes, I'm much more interested in CATTLE DRIVE. :)
Thank you again!
Best wishes,
Laura
