Happy Birthday, Disneyland!

Today was the 68th birthday of the Happiest Place on Earth, Disneyland, and I was privileged to be there for part of the day.

The cloud formations were especially striking this morning, making for some great photos!

I will always be grateful for this special place where I've spent countless happy hours with family and friends. And as many of you already know, it's also where I met my husband, so you could say that in a way we owe our family to Walt Disney.

I'm proud to have been one of those people who helped "make the dream a reality" for several years.

There was a lovely birthday cavalcade this morning to celebrate the park's birthday.

The parade came to a halt a few times over the course of the long parade route, which wound from It's a Small World to Town Square, and during the parade stops a recording of Walt Disney's famous Opening Day speech was played, followed by a singalong of "Happy Birthday" with the Disneyland Band.
